Hello, my name is Bob Evans and I have been a big fan of NASCAR and Petty Racing since I was a kid.
I got away from the sport for a number of years, but have returned to enjoy NASCAR as much as I always did.
I began following NASCAR on the Internet through blogs, Web sites and on TV.
After a while I became frustrated with the lack of insightful, fact-based writing available online.
Many excellent writers cover NASCAR, but too often I would hear the same retread opinions from many of those who were not so excellent.
As a way to release my frustrations as well as connect with other like-minded fans, I started this blog as a place for my ideas and opinions.
I hope to be as fair and objective as possible in my writing. I believe that ideas shouldn’t be accepted simply because “it’s always been that way.”
Things evolve and nothing stays the same, especially in sports. A good opinion must be supported by facts, and if it is a different angle than the majority, that’s even better. In addition to strong opinions based on facts and statistics, I hope this blog is an entertaining and fun place to come and read.
